Escaping Her
Eyes of doom a horror
you see it you smell it
gore. In your castle to feel safe but Mother will find you there.
You ran to the end of the world yet you felt her there
death. Directions you have taken landed you in solitude
a wish and
a kiss like a lover scorned
your heart aches and another pill is worshiped that keeps her suicide away.
The willingness to participate is shunned by her light
you are a sinking hole.
Glass made metal jars
entrails to feast in the belly of
the Mother’s fetus.
Once there to warm up milk and
honey now around hell
and back twice to hold you down upon her breast.
Take it, consume, the drink of water Styx
a mirage on desert sand
you crossed to escape her.
Drink up death
the last lesson ever taught
the first song you sing while weeping.
Tear your flesh from
bone
to pluck away the
rot
fed by the
purple cord
and begin to
breathe
just like the first time. Only if your lungs survived the elevation of dropping from heaven so many times, will you be able to go on living without Mother.
